Still awaiting decent pictures of the new Press Briefing Room and Press Offices.... Here is another article, with images that will make any photographer wince. Why pay professionals handsome salaries if you're only going to display their pictures 274 pixels across?
The article says they haven't enlarged it at all and have even kept the pool—the pool that's been covered and unused for fully half its existence.
UPDATE: Added pics to the Press Briefing Room and Press Offices pages, including a mind-blowing photo of the brand-new Nixon briefing/tea party room from a great article passed along by both Robert and Pete.

Washington Post today is reporting that the pool is gone, that the floor is concrete.
ReplyDeleteSome other articles are claiming that the pool is still there. Well . . . we'll have to wait to get official word on that.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the link Shane. It would seem that the room itself doesn't look hugely different. I would guess that it will mostly seem less like a dump and better from a quality standpoint obvious only to the reporters. And not to mention the fact that it will look different behind the podium.
LOL, I wish these people woud get their story straight:
ReplyDelete"The old wooden floor that once covered the pool has been replaced with a poured concrete floor."
