I added a couple of photos that I shot in the WH Visitors Center in DC. They were 19th century images of the executive offices that I hadn't seen before. After some clean-up, they turned out quite nice.
I love that pic with the combination gas/electric light fixture - electric aimed down and gas aimed up! And all those wires and cords coming down from the fixtures... I wonder if that meets code? I expect not... : )
I love seeing the cabinet table right where it belongs. It gives me a sense of connection to the past to see those things. It's hard to believe those are pics of pics. They're very good!
I sort of knew you were good at image processing when you gave us that color pic of A. Lincoln that blew me away. It's hard to believe the original is the same pic you posted. Yours is FAR better. You're like the Hubble telescope. You improve our vision to a far away time.
Derek, check out the Time magazine White House photo blog today. I believe the caption is totally wrong. Shouldn't it read the Diplomatic Reception Room instead of the Indian Treaty Room??
I can't believe Time would make such a mistake! I saw it,too. There has never been an Indian Treaty Room in the White House. Doesn't anyone proofread over there?

Thanks, Becky! I'm gotten pretty good with image processing these days. Here's one of the originals.
